- How does the score work?
- The analyser uses canvas-based image analysis to measure five things that correlate with real-world click-through-rate: contrast between subject and background, focal-point clarity, how well the thumbnail survives mobile-feed sizing, colour palette discipline, and text/edge density. Each dimension is scored 0-100, weighted, and combined into an overall score.
- Is anything sent to your servers?
- The thumbnail image and any YouTube URL you paste stay in your browser and are not uploaded or stored by SRGE. Ordinary page-visit analytics may still record that the scorer page was opened, but they do not include your image or pasted URL.
- Does the score predict CTR exactly?
- Nothing predicts CTR exactly — that depends on title, niche, audience, and luck. The score is a diagnostic tool, not an oracle. It flags the design fundamentals that consistently correlate with CTR, so you can fix the obvious problems before publishing. Real testing on YouTube Studio is the final word.
